Is the Terminator character 'John Conner' flawed?

You have to keep in mind you need to think in terms of Future and past, and your thinking in terms of now and then. John was conceived by him sending back to the past the solider whom he knows he needs to sent back to save Sara and also knows that he is also his father in the past.,If he(John Conner) didn't send him back , John would cease to exist. And the Terminators or Machines would win. I hope this makes sense, its complicated. Wish I could tell you in person.Without Kyle John Conner would not have been born. And as far as age , he knew what time he was sending him back too,so that Sara and Kyle would be more compatible. That's the way I saw it!
